Eggplant
Eggplants are glossy, generous vegetables, and the secret to a good one is picking it at just the right moment…
Glossy Moroccan eggplants with firm flesh and a clean skin, picked at just the right moment.
Morocco. Eggplants are warm-season plants that need heat and sunshine, and they are often grown in greenhouses or under tunnels.
Eggplants are generally available from autumn to early summer. Ask us what is available right now.
Eggplants are sorted by length, thickness and weight. Tell us the range you prefer.
Supply follows the season. Tell us the quantity and how often you would like to receive it, and we will tell you honestly what we can commit to.
Eggplants dislike the cold, so they are kept at a moderate temperature, around 10 to 12 degrees, and not for too long. They are loaded carefully to avoid dents and scratches on the skin.
We supply professional buyers in Europe and in other markets. Tell us where the goods should go and we will explain what is possible, including labelling and documents.
The fruit is harvested by hand before it is fully mature, while the skin is shiny and the flesh still firm, because an eggplant left too long on the plant gets hard seeds and a more bitter taste.
We do not list certificates on this page. If a certificate applies to a product or to a grower, we will tell you exactly which one it is and send you the document with your quote.
Tell us which product you have in mind, how much you need and where it should go, and a real person from our team will come back to you within one business day with what is available and at what price.
